What are the technical requirements to access ridersedge.ca?

Hardware/Software – The course content will be available on the web in HTML 5 format, and some documents will be in PDF format. So you should be sure to download the free Adobe PDF Reader. Audio Media will be in the form of mp3, supported by all major web browsers. Video Media will be in the form of mp4, OGV and WebM – At least one of which is supported by all major browsers.

Please be sure to download and install the latest web browser:
-If you are a PC user, we recommend Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome for best results.
-If you are a Mac user, we recommend Google Chrome or Safari for best results.
-If you are a Mobile (IOS/Android) user, we recommend Google Chrome or IOS Safari (Pre-Installed on IOS) for best results.

We will use some special tools for the course, but they are all web based and you will be provided access to them. The course does not require a particular hardware platform; it is compatible with any system that can run HTML 5 such as Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, or Safari.

Webcam – You MUST have a webcam to access ANY course. Our courses use the KeyLemon(TM) facial recognition system, which ensures the registered user is the same person taking the course. If your computer or device does not have a webcam attached or built in, you may purchase a webcam AT COST from our online store.

Do you have a refund policy?

Yes. You may apply for a full refund only if technical reasons prevent you from accessing the site. Once you have have accessed the site and started any paid course, you are no longer eligible for a refund.

What if I have general questions about Moodle?

Ridersedge.ca is based on the Moodle platform. Moodle is an open source platform for online courses, this link provides answers to the most common questions students have asked at colleges and universities around the globe.

Is my data safe and secure?

Yes, data security is our highest priority. We employ numerous, redundant data safety systems and follow strict PCI compliance procedures to ensure that all of our subscribers’ data, including your clients’ credit card information, receives the highest level of protection possible.

Ridersedge.ca provides unlimited tech support for the life of your subscription. Our support staff is available 24/7 to answer your questions. Also, our Help Center provides further technical information.

What kinds of devices do you support?

You access our courses from any HTML 5 Internet-connected device that has a webcam, such as a desktop computer, laptop computer, tablet, or smartphone

How fast does my Internet need to be?

The minimum required connection speed is 0.5 megabits per second, but you may want a faster connection for improved video and audio quality. However we recommend a 1+ megabit connection for an optimal e-learning experience.
